hello there,could someone tell me the difference between an rs 4 speed box and a 1600 sport box?thanks

don't quote me on this but someone will correct me if i'm wrong

 

1600 sport box if it is a sport box is same as a 1300 crossflow box but slightly stronger, ratio's are the same as every crossflow box its the diff that changes everything around

 

the main difference is the size

 

rs2000 box has its own ratios not much different to the others but the box is very similar or the same as the capri cortina granada i beleve its got a slightly smaller casing but same length and same amount of splines and they all fit a escort but you need the rs2000 prop shaft or 1600 ghia 2 piece with an extra knuckle

cheers mate,i want to fit an xe in the escort but id like to keep it a four speed,the body is mint and i dont really wanna start hacking the floor to bits,sbd do a bell housing to mate the xe to an rs four speed which will only mean moving the shifter hole back a little.Thanks again.
