xe clutch cable?

i wonder if anyone can help,im told you can use the standard escort clutch cable when using an xe with a type 9 however mine seems to be 1" 1/2 to 2" too long? just wondering what other people have used?

I've used the original one mate but you need to make up a spacer that will take up that slack.

 

Kj gave me his old one - its just a tube with a washer welded onto it about a 1/3 of the way up. that goes int the bell housing and then the cable goes into that JD
