Quick MK1 Escort Exhaust Question

I have fitted a 4 branch manifold and a 2 inch ashley exhaust with a single silencer to my MK1 Escort which i am finding very loud and its giving me a headache

 

Is there anyway i can just fit a standard MK1 Escort Sport Exhaust on and will it fit onto the manifold i already have? Also does anyone know the exact bore of a standard MK1 Escort Sport exhaust?

 

Any help will be really appreciated

stop being a fairy have you heard my car i have to shout at the passenger and they still say "what" i think the exhaust is 1 1/2 inches at the bottom of the downpipe but don't quote me on that

Just get a twin box Ashley middle pipe or chop out a bit and weld in your own from Burtons etc

Ditto, you can get a twin box 2" Ashley off the shelf at Burton... The second box will silence it a fair bit and u should still get performance from it

Yes mate much quieter and none of that waspy rattling noise when you lift off the throttle
