wixsy Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 Im building a ford anglis with a 285 bhp yb (dyno sheets to prove ) and i want to keep the rear arches untouched. Does anybody know where i can get an axle shortened or an alternative set up , please

bmxdave Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 A standard 105e should do the job with a slip diff and quaife shafts. Although i think the shafts add 10mm to the track, so im not sure how would your rears could be. If not you can buy a shortened atlas from somewhere (maybe rally design, not sure?) which is ready to go. But more spec = mega money. If you dont want to go out, with arches, then the only choice is in. Problem with that is shockie clearances, spring clearences and the possible necesity to tub the arches.

Guest MK1gaz Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 Get an uprated set of shafts (16 or 18 spline) and an LSD diff to match them for your anglia axle . Failing that you'll need a pucker ( and expensive ) shortened atlas axle from Gartrac , fostec etc etc
