Are they are value guides? I a have a restored mint (not concours) 1986 2.8 Capri Special. Bare metal shell respray. new graphics.Painted arches and underneath.engine re built.detailed engine/g/box axles etc, LSD. Alloy wheels powder coated, new tyres. Brakes all replaced. Good interior. 70K miles with part history. I thought it was worth £3k but i have seen them on e8ay for nearly £5k and at dealers. Whats it worth for insurance purposes?

Good Question.

I think my Dad's one was on Ebay whilst your Capri was aswell.

And that was up for £4995 ONO due to the fact of the amount of time and money spent on the car.

The cost of buying one and rebuilding it will exceed the £5k mark easy for a good throuogh job, and in my opinon you will struggle to get better for the money i'm advertising it for.

But on the otherhand I think trying to price these old fords is very hard, and when you see good condition models the prices do vary by £1k-£1.5k. It really depends on how much people are willing to pay and what the car owes you.. etc, etc.

Correct me if im wrong....
