KEVSWAYV6 Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 Great pics Rog, nice to meet you. Many thank's to all those Capri owners who braved the dodgy weather. A great day was had by all..!! Kev.
Mr Sam Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 getting a real soft spot for mk1's there but that xpac blown V8
grifterkid Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 It amazes me that there are never that many Capri's from the 1970's at these events in comparison to the later models... I would've been there in my MkIII '78 3-litre Ghia had the distributer not bitten the dust...! Maybe next time...?!
caprinerd Posted September 7, 2008 Author Report Posted September 7, 2008 in the mid to late 70`ss british steel went on strike and ford imported foriegn steel which aint the best quality in the world (back then) so a lot of fords around that period rotted out

Gazzamobile Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Sorry Rog not too clever with cameras and mobile phones and such like must be my age Managed to spend half the day taking photos on night setting (last used at Chelsea Cruise) so they were all overexposed and blurry. My daughter took some of me and mine on hers and 5 shots of the turbo cossie's engine plus her favourite The Fat Capri but that's about it. I think she has more of The Fat Capri photos at home than of mine bless her. So not quite the lasting photographic record of the day
OldskoolSue Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 fantasic pics,a lovely collection of capris
