when i change from 1600 to 2.0 will i have to fit a throttle cable to suit the twin weber? im currently running the single choke ford carb, on the twin weber i noticed the cable entry near the carb is different, i think the 2.0 cable has a square plastic stop thingy, can i use my stock 1600 cable and modify it somehow? ive never changed a throttle cable on a car .. if i have to change it is it a pain?

what linkage will you be using, from memory i think the standard ford linkage is different to the twin carb set up

on mine i had the funny plastic thingy by the carb and then on the pedal box there was another clip thingy, when i changed to twin carbs i got a different linkage kit which came with all the cables and bits needed

just a thought, you did mean twin carbs and not twin choke carb? if so then you can modify the standard linkage and cable to work just fine

im changing from single ford 1600 pinto carb to 32/36 twin choke weber, i havent inspected the difference that closely but at 1st glance the carb end of my current cable wont fit the weber linkage, theres a square hole in the bracket that fastens to the manifold which i presume the square plastic thingy should sit in,
