payne'e Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 i got myself a fitted car cover for my mk1 escy a few weeks ago. only to find some f**ker nicked it last night .between 8 and 10 pm so not late. it was deffo nicked as it had a strap underneath to stop it blowing away. so i want to get some sort of cctv to keep an eye on it . i would like something that takes a pic or video of movement. anyone using one or know where to get one?
Durham Fiesta Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 you can get them from most electrical wholesalers or places like b+q etc. When i used to sell them at work we found out that the camera has to be a certain definition for it to be used as evidence , the ones that meet the criteria are usually a bit more expensive
3litrepete Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 I've got a Micromark system from Homebase above my garage door, It is hooked up to a portable 14" TV & VCR so if anyone comes within 6ft of the door, it records for 30 seconds, this can be altered but I find it enough, It is black & white so can also be seen at night, The camera always shows a picture even when not recording, The problem you may have will be if the car is on the road, there will be a lot of movement near it causing lots of video tape to scan, Micromark have a website, Hope this helps, Pete
