been reading bout this little car for a while now glad to see its finally working for ya

boring bit though what spec is your jems engine and what sort of mpg do you get for it im thinking bout getting one but dont want to turn my little 1300 into a super thirsty monster and i want to compete on road rallys so using a zetec or similar prob wont be allowed.

You and me both ha ha ha

The JEM engine is cracking and in my opinion one of the best budget Pinto's available!!

After speaking to the main man at JEM, Eric, he tells me that he has just developed a 2.0 (mine is a 2.1) which is even more grunty and for the same money. Give him a call, he is a very easy person to chat to and he will explain the full spec of my engine.

As for MPG, I'm not really sure to be honest and I think it all depends upon how it's driven. I will say that it potters around at low revs without any fuss whatsoever, which is a charm for a modded engine (even before I went to Weber Alpha management)
