Hi all have been offerd a mk1 escort roll cage but have a mk 2 is there any diffrence dont mind doing a bit of work on it but dont want to rebuild it cheers all

Its a bit more than the feet that are different and it will not fit without major modification,definately better off getting the right one :wink:

if the cages were inter changable then why would they make different cages,there different for a reason.

cages are a safety idea,if it dont fix right or has been cut about when you do need it it might fail causin more harm than good.

Not worth the hassle mate !!! The front down legs are stright on a mk1 and have a dog leg bend in the mk2 cage, the rear hoop isnt a snug fit ect ect. A badley fitted cage is worse than no cage mate. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

 

If you hang on and bide your time one will pop up, i got my brand new 12 point 2nd hand (never fitted) safety devices cage for £350 via an ad on rally used parts . com :mrgreen::mrgreen:
