Porting And Polishing Question - Do I Polish Exhaust Ports ?

I have been told to leave the inlet ports rough and not polish them up, i am just wondering if i should polish the exhaust ports or are they better rough i would guess polishing them would help the burnt gasses escape faster.

 

Any help would be much appreciated

polishing them stops carbon (black shite) sticking to them and clogging up the ports

Just about to take it to the local engineering shop to get it skimmed i will take some pictures of it being skimmed etc there and upload them later
