GT_Jim Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 I will be picking up my reconditioned engine on monday and i am thinking about getting it set up and performing a few tests on it but i can fit it to the car as yet because i need the room to do some welding and spraying etc has anyone does this?
Conor Posted June 26, 2009 Report Posted June 26, 2009 Completely pointless without a dyno. Running on a stand without a load to work against will tell you nothing other than the parts go round without smacking into each other and that the ignition timing and fuelling are sufficient to get the engine running.
GT_Jim Posted June 26, 2009 Author Report Posted June 26, 2009 its just to bed the cam in etc and look at exhaust temp with and without a wrap. the engine will be going on a dyno when i go back to uni but the time i get to use it is limited hence why i need to know i can get straight on it
