SebringRS Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Hi guys, wat would u say is the best shutter speed for my Olympus C-70 Digital camera, so i can take moving pictures alot like this one I know how to change the shutter speed, but have never really had a reason to change it, but im thinkin i may need it tomoz as im takin pics of car drivin past and i thought it would look cool if i had some of my pics lookin like tht Tom
tim Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 this car was going walking speed and the shutter speed is 1/40 this was 1/160 this was 1/100 start at around 1/200 and have a play around with the setters after taking a few pics
SebringRS Posted September 5, 2009 Author Report Posted September 5, 2009 Well its the shakespeare run tomoz, and basically every year we go to a pub and sit and watch the cars go past, so im thinkin the 1st pic you put will be the best settin, cus where we usually sit is where the traffic builds up
tim Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 best place to practise with loads of cars going past, have a play with the speeds, when u get home you can find out what speed you use from the picture data which you can get by right clicking on the pic
SebringRS Posted September 5, 2009 Author Report Posted September 5, 2009 Is tht info in properties??
tim Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 yea the details part of properties, gives u all the data from the file
SebringRS Posted September 5, 2009 Author Report Posted September 5, 2009 Awesome, cheers m8. I'l let u know how i got on tomoz, and maybe post some pics up if they come out good
tim Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 post them up so we can see how u got on.
SebringRS Posted September 6, 2009 Author Report Posted September 6, 2009 Well i tried, 1st one i took was too light, i had it on the wrong setting 2nd was a bit better but tht was only at 1/160, and never got to go lower than tht because there were no more cars , and i missed all the OSF's cus i was eatin lunch I'l post the one i got right up later, looks ok. But i think if i go lower on the shutter speed, i'l get a good shot. Im gunna get a day free and take my car somewhere, and get my dad to drive it round so i can practise my panning and get the perfect shutter speed
