paul capri Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Just giving my capri its second freshen up after having used it daily for 2 years. I had originally used black waxoyl underneath but its all washed off inside the rear arches and - on one bit of the chassis rail that was mint before - its actually started to rust, while coated in waxoyl! Also I get fed up of getting covered in the stuff when you're underneath the car working on it, so basically want to know what's the best thing to use to rust proof and paint underneath the car that won't come off! The car is white so it will need to be black underneath, can't really use body colour, I'd never keep it clean!
pads Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 On my mk1 fiesta I used,zinc182 then stonechip 4 tins finally top coat. Looks lovely,
alancdavis Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Just be sure its completlt clean first,,,,,,you dont want to seal in the crap
SAMMYBOY Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 I use stuff from 3m in a foil bag, it has 2 parts to it, and pull the bag apart so the 2 parts mix, connect it to a little 3m gun, airline and fire it on.....quite expensive, but what a finish....Got a bag in my desk here at the moment....Just says sprayable sealer , item number 08823...
