MK1 fiesta please help...

Hi my son is just wondering wether a 1.25zetec engine out of a mk5 fiesta would fit into a mk1 fiesta with out to much hassle??

 

he has the engine, gearbox and exhaust which he has taken from his broken mk5 fiesta and really wants a mk1 fiesta shell to put it in..

The exhaust manifold exits at the firewall instead of the radiator side so it would get in the way of the driveshafts on a mk1.

 

People use endura's out of the mk4/5 or ka fit straight in but you have the wiring nuisance.

and the exhaust manifold.. would i be able to use a mk1 festa exhaust on that engine?? thanks for the help

Dont think you could use this engine because of were the manifold exits.

 

You could try but it might end in tears.

surely it couldn't be to different from fittin a 1.8 zetec like some of the other kids do with theres?? but im not sure lol

although this is a duratec engine the exhaust coming out the back wont be a problem
