Trevmk3 Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 The meet will be held at the Festival inn, Trowell, Notts, from around 7 pm onwards on the 8th Sept, this location is chosen due to it having a quite large carpark with room for more if it gets really busy. It was a good turnout last time but I still want more. please feel free to add your opinions, comments, questions ect about the location, dates of meets ect or you can send me a PM This is the 2nd Wednesday of the month and all the ones through the year will be on the 2nd Wednesday Lets try and get the East Midlands scene more noticed in 2010 If you know of people with a retro car tell them to come along, if you know of any other forums based around retro cars and have members in the East mids let me know Last year the best car count we had was around the 26 mark, I want it to be exceeded on more than one occasion if possible this year On a final note can I ask for limited wheelspins, burnouts, and fast driving in the carpark and on the way out, don't want to be upsetting the locals and having to try and find somewhere else. (dont mind so much at the end of the season as theres a few months for them to forget)
Kitty Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 I live relatively local, think I might show my face
Trevmk3 Posted September 5, 2010 Author Report Posted September 5, 2010 always good to see new faces, if you come i will try and introduce myself to you
Trevmk3 Posted September 6, 2010 Author Report Posted September 6, 2010 sent Baz an pm about it yesterday

scootlife Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Are then still any East Mids meets at all ?
Trevmk3 Posted February 21, 2011 Author Report Posted February 21, 2011 not too sure mate, the turnouts were a little poor last year, was some classic meets being held at the cattle market in Notts (which was on the same night), The Griffins Head at Papplewick is a good meet although i cant remember what nights it was on. the Festival has had a bit of the carpark built on so that sort of ruled that location out. Couldnt seem to please a few folks no matter what days i tried to get it on, if it was midweek i would have the odd one saying they will only do weekends amd most that are happy with weekday nights cant do weekends as they have other things to do and go to car shows, lose lose situation peed me off think i would be even more inclined to try and sort something again this year but my enthusiasm has sort of done one at the moment
scootlife Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 thats a real shame. No dont give up !!! Would be good to have a regular /ish East Mids meet.
Trevmk3 Posted February 23, 2011 Author Report Posted February 23, 2011 i may be tempted to try and redo it to join the Papplewick one as its a decent meet with a good variation of cars
scootlife Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 That sounds like a good plan. Not been to the papplewick meets but ive heard they have quite a good turn out and a good selection of cars.
mattsbmw Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 Will have to got to the papplewick meet, see what cars are there.
Trevmk3 Posted February 24, 2011 Author Report Posted February 24, 2011 you get all sorts turning up, Yanks, hot rods, Retros, MG's Triumphs ect, a wide variety
scootlife Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 Sounds like a plan to me !! Anyone know when they are and when they start running ?????
Trevmk3 Posted February 25, 2011 Author Report Posted February 25, 2011 i will post up if i find out so keep an eye on this room
