down2earth Posted May 26, 2011 Report Posted May 26, 2011 There is a service where you can hire an Arch roller i think on ebay item number 320704737514. You could try and contact the seller for more info or even have the work done for you, thats if Restos cant fit you in
Admin Mk2Jo Posted June 2, 2011 Admin Report Posted June 2, 2011 cheers could you tell me how much they charged yourself? Sorry Jim, only just noticed your reply they did the whole of the back end of my Rs and a load of work under the bonnet so it was an all in price - just give em a ring and ask them You're not tied to anything if you just ask for a price
Daz271 Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 I used the top of an axle stand to roll mine, worked a treat
Daz271 Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 It's just rolling the arch lip, basically folding it up to give you a bit of extra claerance when fitting bigger or wider wheels
mk2 mike Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 It's just rolling the arch lip, basically folding it up to give you a bit of extra claerance when fitting bigger or wider wheels Aha, cheers Daz, guessed it was something along those lines but wasn't 100%. What size wheels would this allow you fit under the arches?
Daz271 Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 7x13 is the common choice although some peeps run on 15"s
mk2 mike Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 Thanks Daz. Sorry to hijack your thread Jim, I'll text you tomorrow about meeting on Sunday morning to get that spoiler from you.
mk2 mike Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 cheers could you tell me how much they charged yourself? I contacted Phil at archenemy.co.uk for a quote. He told me it would be £120 for all 4 arches, however he wouldnt be able to get the roller on the hubs if the rear had been lowered. Mines dropped 2" so I guess that that then!
Admin Mk2Jo Posted June 6, 2011 Admin Report Posted June 6, 2011 Mine is lowered and the boys at Retro Restos did mine okay
