No I'm buying, I assumed that the 100bhp 2 litre axle would'nt be the same as the 160bhp axle.

I just thought that the axle would be stronger than my 2litre one, Ive been told that the 2litre one is the weakest of the range?????

there the same ... the shafts differ slightly i think .. but that may kust be on the LSD ones .. and you aint gone a break an Atlas with a NA pinto and skinny wheels.

the 1.6 is the best ratio for acelleration and the 2.0 is an allrounder, the rest all have 3.09's .... fine for cruising the motways and top speed runs with 500bhp and 7000rpm =170mph ... :D

Thanks for the advice fellas.

When Ive saved my pennies I'll be getting a Fostek built Atlas with an LSD. I just thought it would be a good idea to have the 2.8 one lying around for when/if my 2litre one goes BANG, but I wont bother if there the same.

mate, just the ratios different, they are all the same strength, try to avoid the front loader type fitted to some early mk3 models and most mk2s. the axle you allready got should be fine.
