danc001 Posted October 23, 2012 Report Posted October 23, 2012 heres my 2.8 v6 cortina, owned it for 2 weeks now, complete with a welded diff, gay wheels, a questionable paint job and a missing front bumper. i will be putting 7j rs 4 spokes on and lowering the car. probably painting the red yellow nd sticking a front bumper back on! and heres my long term project car. i know some are not a fans of the mk3's but i thought some may like due to the fact the correct wheels are driven not the front! its an ex rally shell mk3 escort with a genesis conversion, 5 linked rear english axle, wcxm and warrior wide arch kit. i have a huge pile of parts for this car, including fibreglass doors, bonnet, 330bhp cosworth engine, 4.1 lsd. im building it as a road legal track car, with potential of doing hillclimbs and drift days latest update for it, is im half way through getting bodykit fitted and currently mocking everything up to weld the bulkhead cut outs that were cut when previous owner fitted a supercharged 3.0 v6
lotusless Posted October 23, 2012 Report Posted October 23, 2012 Love the description of the tina should be cool with the colour change and better ( non gay ) wheels. the mk3 escort sounds like fun good luck with both of them
danc001 Posted October 23, 2012 Author Report Posted October 23, 2012 i want the escort!! haha the escort will never leave my hands, took me ages to find one that was already converted to run mk2 escort gear, i didnt want one that used sierra parts. spent 4 years searching then gave up and started looking for a mk2 and all of sudden this one popped up, so i had to have it lol
zetecmk2 Posted October 23, 2012 Report Posted October 23, 2012 i want the escort!! haha the escort will never leave my hands, took me ages to find one that was already converted to run mk2 escort gear, i didnt want one that used sierra parts. spent 4 years searching then gave up and started looking for a mk2 and all of sudden this one popped up, so i had to have it lol i nearly got one a couple of weeks ago, but the bloke wanted to straight swap it for our onion rst, but his car only made £800 on ebay....it was a bit rough
danc001 Posted October 23, 2012 Author Report Posted October 23, 2012 theres been a few on there, but you just got to watch for the quality of the welding. and if the body is actually straight lol. mines an ex rally car so i no shell was strong, and the floor pan metal is double the thicknes of a normal floor lol
