How do you work out how much your car is worth??

Iv been having thoughts about selling up at some point this year..

I know what iv spent on my car over the years (ish.. lol) but how do work out what it is worth in the end?

In case anyone wants to have a go!?

(I could also use this as putting feelers out for someone may be interested??)

 

My car is a MK5 Cortina

1982

Registered as a 1.6 GL

Has an Ashton Mobile built pinto in it.

205 block

Kent FR33 cam

Twin 45 Dellortos port matched to the head

4 Branch Ashley exhaust manifold heat wrapped

Full Ashley system with center box taken out

T9 5 speed box with quickshift

Brand new 2 piece prop

Standard 1.6 Koln Back axle just lightly reconditioned

Standard rear drums just reconditioned

Reconditioned front calipers with drilled and grooved discs and greenstuff pads

Full polybushed front and back

Burton 2" lowering springs front and back (back has an extra coil cut out)

Fully adjustable shocks front and back

Resprayed on the outside in focus ST orange (just without the slight metal flake) 

Still red inside the boot and inside the car

Under-bonnet hand painted in satin black

Fully under-sealed

Car has its bad points as they all do but all in all a good car 

Would be sold with a full MOT and tax when i do finally think of selling it.

It wont be until after this show season at any rate coz I wanna go to all the shows in it.

Running 138bhp last year at CF show

Ran a 16.2 if i remember right?

very true im going to put my mk1 up for no less then 8000 when i have finished restoring it but then i dont want it to go lol
