slider Posted October 27, 2013 Report Posted October 27, 2013 Hi guys i bough a mk1 escort about 6 months ago, its had fibreglass arches fitted and all looked ok until i fitted the rear axle and wheels today, its had new tramp bars, leaf springs a mk1 capri atlas and new rubbers fitted and im 99% certain that the axle is in the correct position as the locating pins line up fine and the tramp bars look and measure to be spot on, the trouble i have is it look like the rear arches have been fitted incorrectly as the n/s is almost touching the tyre and teh o/s has a good 2cm of clearance what im after is pictures of a straight on view so i can gauge what sort of clearance i should have around the wheels, and if possible even some measurements or advice on where to go from here email if its easier simondshaw@yahoo.co.uk many thanks in advance simon please bear in mind the wheels fitted are only to move it about on ill be using 15" minilight style rims
sidpf1972 Posted October 27, 2013 Report Posted October 27, 2013 you didn't buy this from Bromsgrove did you?
slider Posted October 27, 2013 Author Report Posted October 27, 2013 off ebay m8, it came without a back axle and i only saw photos which to my untrained eye looked ok, i think the rears have just been badly fitted and its just a case of rejigging them a bit
Mgentry90 Posted October 27, 2013 Report Posted October 27, 2013 They look pissed from here but I haven't seen a bubbled esc in the flesh before, maybe they all look that bad? By bad I just mean that the arch in top pic looks a bit squarish and not even.
deadly456 Posted November 17, 2013 Report Posted November 17, 2013 I would cut them out and re fibreglass them
