Some muppet is selling a Rs2000 v5 on ebay  for £1500 . Does that really do any one elses head in ? Has the person got no morals ? Some poor sod will have his pride and joy pinched  and this just fuels such activty . I bet the person will claim complete innocence to it as well .

I would like the person if they use this forum to explain themselves.

I have found 3 people selling V5 's  , 2 blatantly , and another saying the shell was 'very, very bad ' ,and coud be put in a urn . Thats 3 in just half a day ! Can others please keep a eye out and report them to eaby moderators ?

Its another small way we can make it more difficult for  the light fingered lot .

I saw an advert on a capri forum by a member!! He was selling a mint prepped shell, and another shell with a v5. When I enquired about the other car with the v5 he just kept saying he was offering that car to the person who wants the mint shell first and didn't seem to want to split.. Now that's a

MEMBER who is supposed to be on our side. What a doush.

What gets me is that if no one reports them on eaby , they go unchecked . Also when you report them , you cant add any information as to why it should be pulled , you just have a vague option of saying it promotes illegal activity from a drop down menu .  I think the people that check the ad's arnt to clever as they don't always get taken down .

Glad to see that others are so upset by all this sh1te activity on e-bay. I have reported similar issues - one yesterday with surprisingly 2 log-books (or the t055er advertising the ford pop but when you look it's "sold but looking for others"), but no action is taken. It seems to make no difference to e-bay (they want the fees afterall....) so maybe we should report e-bay to trading standards for not controlling the marketplace they profit from.

This is probably one of the reasons why the EU were trying to kill off classic car ownership by enforcing stricter MOT's upon us (modern braking, noise and emissions standards etc). That hasn't gone away and with dubious activities dogging (ahem!) our interests it never will.

Yeah i had a farmer who wouldn't sell me a wreck of a 1600sport for less than 1k as " the log book is worth more " trying to explain i didn't want it for the log book i wanted to restore it ...made no difference... :(
