Muppetsmuppet Posted November 17, 2013 Report Posted November 17, 2013 Some muppet is selling a Rs2000 v5 on ebay for £1500 . Does that really do any one elses head in ? Has the person got no morals ? Some poor sod will have his pride and joy pinched and this just fuels such activty . I bet the person will claim complete innocence to it as well . I would like the person if they use this forum to explain themselves. 1
sidpf1972 Posted November 17, 2013 Report Posted November 17, 2013 yeah it upsets me ,I have to deal with these scumbags all the time down the station
Muppetsmuppet Posted November 17, 2013 Author Report Posted November 17, 2013 Same bloke is also selling a Porsche boxster and a rolex - Not the slightest bit dodgy then .
sidpf1972 Posted November 17, 2013 Report Posted November 17, 2013 yeah I deal with them s bags all day
Mgentry90 Posted November 17, 2013 Report Posted November 17, 2013 The v5 will be used to change a bog standard car into an rs and double the value.
Muppetsmuppet Posted November 17, 2013 Author Report Posted November 17, 2013 I have found 3 people selling V5 's , 2 blatantly , and another saying the shell was 'very, very bad ' ,and coud be put in a urn . Thats 3 in just half a day ! Can others please keep a eye out and report them to eaby moderators ? Its another small way we can make it more difficult for the light fingered lot .
Muppetsmuppet Posted November 17, 2013 Author Report Posted November 17, 2013 Make that 4 v5s for sale .
Mgentry90 Posted November 19, 2013 Report Posted November 19, 2013 I saw an advert on a capri forum by a member!! He was selling a mint prepped shell, and another shell with a v5. When I enquired about the other car with the v5 he just kept saying he was offering that car to the person who wants the mint shell first and didn't seem to want to split.. Now that's a MEMBER who is supposed to be on our side. What a doush.
Muppetsmuppet Posted November 20, 2013 Author Report Posted November 20, 2013 What gets me is that if no one reports them on eaby , they go unchecked . Also when you report them , you cant add any information as to why it should be pulled , you just have a vague option of saying it promotes illegal activity from a drop down menu . I think the people that check the ad's arnt to clever as they don't always get taken down .
Muppetsmuppet Posted November 20, 2013 Author Report Posted November 20, 2013 Whats worse is the bloke who is trying to sell the rs2000 v5 AGAIN , looks like he's actually a car dealer .http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/escort-rs2000-for-restoration-rebuild-all-docs-present-with-good-number-/331068779432?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4d153caba8
mk2 mike Posted November 20, 2013 Report Posted November 20, 2013 ^^^^ that one has now been removed. :0)
Muppetsmuppet Posted November 21, 2013 Author Report Posted November 21, 2013 Its up again now for a 3rd time . This time its worded differently so not to be so blatant .
Daddio Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 Glad to see that others are so upset by all this sh1te activity on e-bay. I have reported similar issues - one yesterday with surprisingly 2 log-books (or the t055er advertising the ford pop but when you look it's "sold but looking for others"), but no action is taken. It seems to make no difference to e-bay (they want the fees afterall....) so maybe we should report e-bay to trading standards for not controlling the marketplace they profit from. This is probably one of the reasons why the EU were trying to kill off classic car ownership by enforcing stricter MOT's upon us (modern braking, noise and emissions standards etc). That hasn't gone away and with dubious activities dogging (ahem!) our interests it never will. 1
stoneymk5 Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 Yeah i had a farmer who wouldn't sell me a wreck of a 1600sport for less than 1k as " the log book is worth more " trying to explain i didn't want it for the log book i wanted to restore it ...made no difference...
