starter went on me van phoned me mate up and he manged to source one went to collected it and ended up buying my old fairlane 500 back how i got talked in to that one i dont know

 

so a starter for a escort mk5 van cost me  four figures lol it is has bad as when i brought a cooker once but least i got the starter motor

 

just got to get it back together now but i int got a clue were any thing go's

its a 1959 so it is about 54 years old and tax and mot free, the old v8 is the one it came out of the factorey with and runs sweet has a nut only done 45000 miles from new

 

all ive really got to do is put it back together just bin painted but not by me, if i still own it in a years time will go black with flames and a set of centerlines possable

 

really want a bigger engine for it first

What engine is in it fella? My brother has a 61 galaxie with a tired 390 in it.........is yours 352 or 390. Possibility of a buyer for the engine if u do decide to upgrade

might sell the whole lot bud has don't really have time for it has work 7 days a week, it just wants putting back together were it was stripped to be painted all mot'ed and tax uk resisted
