Mk1 Escort Door Glass Runner - body colour or black

My shell is currently getting prep for paint.

Are the glass runners in the doors. meant to be body colour or satin black? See both styles on various escort just see what they are meant to be?

my 68 gt had the original paint on the runners and they were body colour,but I don't know if they went black on later cars.

Mines a 1971 and there colour coded from factory

Mine are body colour, then I covered them with vinyl tape.

Mine where body colour but now black

my '74 RS2000 (before it got nicked back in 1994) had black ones and I think these had been like that from new.

The black leaves the door glass looking kind of one piece, but the body colour breaks that up and makes the seperate quarter glass very obvious.

Which do you prefer??
