crapichris Posted July 20, 2014 Report Posted July 20, 2014 well the time has come to retire as an OSF owner. Health problems and all that jazz. Reluctantly that means the Capri has to go even though I know I will regert it. What we have to sell is a Nimbus Grey 1983/84 Capri S 2 litre with modifications. Brakes overhauled over the last 2 years so new calipers up front, new cylinders and brake shoes at the rear and braided hoses. Suspension has 1 1/2" lowered springs at the front with a 2.8 roll bar to stop it diving on braking. The rear has single leaves and refurb'd shocks. Sits straight and level and has the best handling I have ever got out of a capri. Engine is a late unleaded model with a 4-2-1 manifold, 2 1/2" exhaust system, K&N filter. Recently changed the thermostat housing which rotted out and fitted a new thermostat. Body had a 6 year restoration 2 years ago - no rust that I know of now. New wings, new osr wheel arch, couple of plates on the floor, door pillars repaired, and the closing plates on the front sills cut out and replaced. Underneath waxoiled and undersealed. Bonnet has bonnet pins fitted. 4 spoke RS wheels refurbished last year. Basically a good solid shell. Interior has a red strobe interior with fishnet headrests (tho original headrests around somewhere). Dashboard overhauled over last winter so all lights and instruments work and we even have a fully working heater. Comes with a MOT until next April and tax until end of September. Done 4 000 miles in last 2 years practically trouble free. If I was being critical my painting ain't too hot and there are a few points that need tidying up but it is a presentable and usable car. Someone is getting a b...... good car. Pictures to follow - looking for £2600 and want it to go to an OSF member to look after and enjoy. Luton area, mobile 07745 767249, Chris
