ALL SOLD EXCEPT THE SINGLE LEAFS - will do for £50 posted.

 

Due to my project being V8 powered my English axle is not man enough for the job so it's up for sale. It's a 3.54 ratio, has 9" drums, 1" spacers and all the handbrake mechanism and all the hydraulic components still attached. Wanting £100 ono

My project is being coilover converted so I have a pair of inboard Bilstein shocks for sale with all rubber boots and bushes evident, which are in excellent condition with no leaks etc. Wanting £50 ono

Coilovers mean I have no need for my single leaf springs. All bushes, shackles and bolts are attached. In good condition. Wanting £50 ono

2" lowering blocks, long U-bolts and plates, all in good condition. Wanting £20 ono

Will courier if required (will quote separately if needed), but would prefer collection. Parts located near Selby, North Yorkshire.

Are you willing to split the diff from the axle and also post out. If so, can you let me know what you want for just the diff posted to UK address ? 

 

Alternatively do you have a postage price for delivery of the whole axle (BN12 post code) ?

I need to get rid of the whole thing, it's taking too much room up in my garage and slowing the project. I think I'd find it hard to get rid of just the casing. How much were you willing to offer for the diff only?

I am building an Anglia at the moment which has a 4.125 diff which is a bit short for my intended use. So, I can possibly take the whole axle, and swap the diffs as I have a bit of storage room at the moment. I guess I would be looking at around £75 delivered for the Diff only and  £120 for the whole axle delivered. I can pay by paypal and will cover costs of paypal fees on top of those prices so I have some protection (been burnt before with paypal gifts). The assumption is that the diff is in good condition with no chips out of the CWP and no sloppyness, backlash or whines (can you confirm this).

There was definitely no whining coming from the diff when it was in my Escort. There is a bit of 'slop' in the movement, but only as much as you'd expect with a used diff (prop input moves no more than 5 degrees before the hubs turn). I reckon that rebuilding with a new crush washer will eliminate the vast majority of this. I can't vouch for the CWP because it's never been apart. I'm awaiting quotes on delivery because of the size and weight.

Have a look on  Parcel2go - 50kg, less than 2.4m with TNT is £33. (I weighed my diff, axle case and 1/2 shafts at 30Kg so a bit more for the brakes and packing and 50kg should not be too far off I hope, diff is 16kg on it's own). Hope that helps.

 

Edit - parcelmonkey has 49kg with DX for £22.

Sorry, going to have to withdraw my offer, had an unexpected bill on the front end of the car so will have to postpone the rear diff upgrade.

 

Out of interest, did you manage to get a half decent price for shipping it would be useful to know who by for future reference?
