scrummyhorace Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 hi , iv just bought a mk2 Cortina 2door , so it is with great regret that I am having to sell a mk2 Cortina 4 door on a H reg , that came from malta 3 years ago but was only registered by myself last year after finding it in a garage. GOOD BITS ; never welded , still has the plastic on the door cards (will be mint) apart from the drivers side 2inch split in plastic and minor wear on card. mint back seat (been covered all its life), bench seat (bottom mint ) original engine and box . column change (4 speed) RARE COMBINATION , not many in the UK. nice solid little 1300cc engine. first time every time. floor and chassis never had gunk put on it and is very nice apart from surface rust ( very nice strong chassis.) with a coat of lacquer it would look lovely as it is ?? lowered 2" all round. (looks lovely with lotus rims on BUT not included in sale, the original wheels will be on it if sold!!!), beige in colour. BAD BITS ; hand painted wings/doors. (at least its Maltese paint ) not our rubbish. slight whine from box or diff ? sorry , I didn't realise I hadn't put a price. id like £2100 if possible as it is taxed and mot, many thanks. no carpet in front (I like it as people can see how clean the floor is ). age related dents / scratches surface rust ( TOU CANT BUY THIS Original LOOK !) no heater (for obvious reasons !!!) IM GOING TO REGRET SELLING THIS IN 5 YEARS TIME the way things are going with fords this un-common !! but space and funds needed for the 2 door ...... make a serious offer and lets do this !!!!
