ALL4SHOW Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 what do you need to do these (yes i know a car ) tax, mot, insurance ? as i was talking to a mate & he said it would be a bit of a laugh to do one but we worked it out it would be cheaper to to buy something cheap & use a trailer to get it there & back (plus if something goes wrong with it we could still get home i know the £100 rotbox that has a self flushing oil system on it is not going to be allowed any where near a strip/track i was thinking more of something stripped out with a decent sized engine that you can just use & abuse without worring about the mot ,insurance & tax as this will make it to exspensive plus it will get more of the younger drivers out there aswell & are track days the same as i was told the car has to be road legal for most of these motor sport days (as they call them )
Baz. Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 the car has to have an MOT for RWYB days ( But do you get asked for it??) if you race in our championship it deffo has to have an MOT As for track days, ime sure it has to be road legal aswell as you have to show your documents at signing on

LUKE261 Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 u dont need mot, or tax or insurance to race at santa pod (insurance will be invalid anyway when participating in a motorsport event). i raced my stock rod up there once b4 and my mate took his go kart up there, u just need 2 show ya driving license mate. as baz has said in the osfdc for 2007 there is a new rule out 2 race in our championship you will need an mot.
ALL4SHOW Posted March 18, 2007 Author Report Posted March 18, 2007 might have to look into this a bit more
