East Midlands Retro weekend meet near the end of June

**PLEASE READ FROM BELOW THE FIRST FEW POSTS IN THIS THREAD AS IT IS A RECYCLED TOPIC**

The meet will be held at the Festival inn, Trowell, Notts, from around 7 pm onwards on the 9th June,

this location is chosen due to it having a quite large carpark with room for more if it gets really busy.

It was a good turnout last time but i still want more.

please feel free to add your opinions, comments, questions ect about the location, dates of meets ect or you can send me a PM

This is the 2nd Wednesday of the month and all the ones through the year will be on the 2nd Wednesday

Lets try and get the East Midlands scene more noticed in 2010

If you know of people with a retro car tell them to come along, if you know of any other forums based around retro cars and have members in the East mids let me know

Last year the best car count we had was around the 26 mark, I want it to be exceeded on more than one occasion if possible this year

On a final note can I ask for limited wheelspins, burnouts, and fast driving in the carpark and on the way out, don't want to be upsetting the locals and having to try and find somewhere else. (dont mind so much at the end of the season as theres a few months for them to forget)

what time are you usually there till? earliest i could be there is about 7.30-8ish

usually gone 9:30 ish, depending on weather, some people dash off earlier than others, (like me sometimes when im up at 4:30)

doing to do my best, got people comming to the house at 6.30pm, will have to cut them short if i can.

im still going over to it tonight even with the unpredictable weather (well it is predictable, it will more than likely piss it down )

I am thinking of having a weekend meet this month as the midweek meet was a bit of a washout, raining all day and people caught up at work

im thinking off in a couple of weeks time, and in the afternoon (hopefully be nice and sunny too)

anyone for a preference of a Saturday or Sunday?

I'm gonna be intensely spannering the Starlet over the next few weekends in readyness for Retro Show, so may struggle to make an appearance..
