Mick The Cabbie Posted September 28, 2008 Author Report Posted September 28, 2008 Thanks chaps. There IS a happy ending to this story on the cards though so is the pinto going in then Yep, this is just the excuse I was looking for to give the old girl a real power hike!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plans are to drop in this Vulcan 2.1 Pinto snorting through a pair of 45's.. ..with a 5 speed 2.8i box strapped to the back of it to make it cruise better. The cars got the standard 3.54 diff. But even with the standard 1600 crossflow & 4 speed box, it was too revy at anything over 60mph. Prob due to the 175/50's (and my age ) So the 5 speed should cure that. Also 2.8i Capri Billes/brakes and new springs to hopefully bring the nose down another inch, polybushes allround and probably a slipper and some decambered single leafs out back to replace the current stack of lowering blocks.. All in stock in the garage apart from the springs.
