Didn't put a price as wasn't looking to sell and this is not in the for sale section and the OP said he was looking for a car and like most things in life even though I am not looking to sell if someone made me a really good offer I would consider it. I could always get another OSF, now I am getting older I was thinking of maybe something a little more comfortable like a MK5 Cortina.

May be tempted to sell if the price is right, hasnt had much use last few years never seem to get any time with young kids.

Had a search in the loft but didn't find any good pictures of me but found a few pics of me old cars THis was about 1988, blimey that means the MK1 was already about 14 years old. It started out as a canary yellow 1100L, I then riveted fibre glass lips on the front wings so that it looked like an RS and resprayed it diamond white sold if for £750. Must have had a thing about white in them days i also sprayed my 1600E and a Capri all in Ford Diamond white. The MK 2 was a couple of years later and the grey primer was where a drunk hit the front wing on a roundabout, spun round and hit the back arch. This ended up xpacked. Now 25 years later back behind the wheel of a MK2 escort

Hi Going to fit some alloy spotlight brackets once i have drilled the holes what/how would you reccomend i treat the holes to prevent rust creeping in at the edges .

Thanks for replies So for home spraying is it best to use cellouse, i have heard scary stories about using 2 pac can be very dangerous. The reason i was asking is i thought cellouse couldn't be sold anymore plus didn't fancy trying to spray 2 pac. Also as i am only spraying small areas any recomendations on what sort of of sprayer/compressor and gun i should get.

Looking to tidy a couple of areas in my engine bay, what type of paint is used these days for home spraying. Last time i did a bit of spraying (20 years ago) i used Cellulose is this still available. Also any advice on what tools to use, like compressor size/capacity etc. not doing a full respay just some smallt tidying jobs.

I am looking to swap my crossflow for a different engine am toying with the idea of a 4age but am unsure because people say the vauxhall 20xe is much better on power and torque. Can anyone recommend someone who would do the complete conversion in the Northampton area

Thanks I wnt to santa pod but there wasn't many stalls and couldn't get one but my little boy enjoyed it so it wasn't a complete waste of tenner i will go to raunds tomorrow and see if i can get one there. i don't know that much about them but looking on the web there seems to be different pressure ones how can i tell what mine is or does it matter because if i'm correct i seem to remember when i had it setup on the rolling road they adjusted the fuel pressure at the filter or regulater or whatever that bowl is in the engine bay, excuse my lack of knowledge when i last had a MK2 escort i didn't have an electric fuel pump so don't know much about them.

Why didn't i think of that, i'm only half hour from santapod, just looked up the website and its a Run What Ya Brung day so not sure if there would be many sellers there.
