  1. That is brilliant mate. Just what I was after Thank you!! I was previously using the car as a daily driver/work/shows etc before it came off the road about 4 years ago. I've since divorced & things are different & it's going to be a weekend car only so thought it would be nice to be able to take the kids out in it when I have them I presume you added strengthen plates to the shelf too?
  2. Hi guys & girls. I'm looking to fit rear seat back in the Mk1 this time round & as the kids will be in there want to fit rear belts. Does anyone have rear belts fitted & could they please post a handful of photos so I can see the fixing locations & how people have them fitted please? It's a '71 Mk1 so there aren't going to be plugged fixings there I wouldn't have thought. Thanking yous muchly
  3. thanks all just glad to share & glad ya liked them Rob - Canon 5D2 & 50mm lens.
  4. this is the new slam i've fitted on mine which shows how much i've cut out on the replacement!!
  5. need to chop the slam & bottom crossmember to reverse the mounts & move the rad forward so it sits in between the uprights. you might want to dress the bulkhead lip too bodywork wise. standard capri rad will be fine if new/good condition. water hoses. wiring for dizzy/alt. rs engine mounts. longer clutch cable. speedo if going 5 speed. clutch to match gearbox?!? ^^^ off the top of my head if you didn't know!
  6. load more can be found on Flickr - HERE << there's a slideshow button too if you're feeling lazy
  7. couple of photos from the weekend to start
  8. it was written off. it took a too heavy front end hit!! was up for salvage. i'd have to go for the black anglia van or the cossie fiesta that sam[?] picked out earlier in the thread as car of the show.
  9. cheers guys
  10. currently got yokies on the mk1 but what others are there available as the rears need replacing soon?? i think i heard of dunlop ones being mentioned & apparently good?? thanks
  11. guess the year? lol
  12. no-one? want to get one asap so i can actually use the motor
  13. which one's are said to be the 'best' & where can they be got from please? for a pinto
  14. big mistake to return it as said esp without even whipping the head off or dropping it in & trying it well worth the money really. my x-flow owes me about three times that amount!!!
  15. glad you kept it & are still enjoying it kev
