Welcome to the sale of my recently restored mk2 cortina 1300 deluxe team lotus tribute car, which featured for the great unveiling at last years classic ford show in june.Specs as follows:1700 crossflow engine 234 kent cam, big valve head with double valve springs, steel rocker posts, +90 pistons duplex timing chain ,twin 45 weber carbs large front bowl sump, big valve head unleaded conversion.Electric facet fuel pumpSingle piece propFull stainless exhaust systemFront mk2 struts converted to coilovers4 pot wilwood calipers uprated discs7j wheller retro steel wheels new interior Lotus/gt seats recovered in leatherSeries 1 4 dial dash top High power kenlow fan I acquired the vehicle march 2015 as a bare shell recently media blasted to a high standard and sprayed with epoxy primer. Restoration began by changing the front and rear valances, new outer wheel tubs, jacking chassis mount and the heater plenum. The body then was given a full body respray in ermine white underside stonechipped, most parts where taken to be blasted then powdercoated in black as well as all aluminium and chrome parts have either been professionally polished or rechromed. All nuts bolts and fixtures where zinc plated.Seats have been brilliantly restored in really soft italian leather and new custom made carpets edges bined in leather and new headlining by craig watton classic and custom interiors. Brand new door cards from aldridge trimming. S1 Dash top repaired and resprayed. Car was given the team lotus stripe and vinyl wrap plates at james alpe. Other small touches to the team lotus theme is a small badge on the rear of the car of bonnet pins I added a custom rocker cover which really finishes the 1700 crossflow engine off. Engine has been given a full overhaul/rebuild professionally by wayne mitchell competition engines, unleaded conversion on big valve head. Choice of wheels weller 7j wheels or 5.5j minilite wheels Alot of work and money has gone into the build thousands spent.
