I'm not frightened of heights but i can't go up more than about five rungs on a ladder , legs start going to jelly. Nearly fell off one when i was a lad on a windy day.
  3. There superlites but not sure if i'm selling them yet. And can't post pics , don't have photobucket account which i believe you need on here to post pics. I may be able to send them in an attachment in an email, will try to sort something over the weekend.
  4. You can alway's restore them, depends on what lengths your prepared to go. More importantly how much cash you have to spend. If you have the time and knowhow it can be cheaper ,saving on labour charges. Have a look in the restorations thread on this site and see what some are doing. As for getting your money back that would depend on how much you spend on it and if a buyer has the same value of your car as you do. Mk1 escorts and osf's in general will go up the rarer they become, but depending what you spend, and want for it , you may have to hold on to it a while to get your price or someone may pay what you want straight away. I would suggest you have a look at the price and the spec of mk1's for sale on ebay ,pistonheads etc , it will give you an idea of which way you want to go with it and the kind of money people spend on doing their cars.

    New Bird ....

Just need a BAT in there now and you'll have a 1960's tv show.
  6. Thatcher was the catalist that made this country what it is today ......a capitalist sham , and every goverment since has jumped on the bandwagon. Good riddence to bad (horse) meat. Just my opinion
  7. I wanted the 7.5 x13 for my mk1 escort. They won't fit unless you either chop the axle , put an Anglian van axle on or flair the arches. The offset is all wrong. Unless of course you want them to look like the ones in the pics Vista put on (orange escort) I bought the 7x13 's from r&r alloys, they were cheaper than midland and same jbw wheels. I have 185x60 tyres on and car is lowered 1" . Hope this helps !! Also i have set of 4 superlites i may be selling soon, nearly new , and 4 yokohama tyres 175x50 , nearly new. Can anyone tell me how much they are worth. cheers !
  8. Hi mate, i've tried twice to reply to your post in the club house on subject "shop and pm's", both times it said ,"post succesful but won't be made public until moderator has checked". Don't know why , is their a problem. Just letting you know i've answered you really. Just tried again and it won't post my replies ,it's only in the club house ,i can still post elsewhere.
  9. I'm looking to get a buffing machine for my car. Is their any preference or will any do. Likewise pads to go on it. IE; Are expensive ones expensive for a reason. Or should i just stick pads in end of a drill /grinder. !!

    comic relief

What's more whoever's hosting these charity bashes insist's on telling you at every oppotunity how all the celeb's are doing it for free. Should hope they are. !! Apart from Terry Wogan on the children in need who got paid apparently. Don't know why they don't give David Cameron a ring , he's happy to give millions away.
  11. I'll be there ,circumstances allowing,ie cars not playing up.
  12. For sale fully modded mk1 escort, will px for tractor
  13. Merchandise - Mugs ,Polo shirts,Harrington style jacket, v neck Jumpers,Peaked cap,Sew on patches,Pin badges ,to add to whats already in the shop. As far as like t-shirts go keep the osf logo on,put a print of an osf car (large) or say four cars(small)on front with osf address underneath,do t-shirts in different colours. All the things above embroider design on,(apart from mug obviously) Their was a comment somewhere about things been a bit plain ,then just add an osf car picture. How about having small logo's (embroiderd on if you like on sleeves a bit like dart players have)of dealers that sponsor on the site. If at the start of the year there is a list of shows, meets etc already organised, why not put them on the back of t-shirts (like tour dates on back of band t-shirts. What about osf address decal to go on outside of car, doesn't have to be very big. OSF wheel / hub centre caps, steering or wheels. Personally whatever type of merchandise i would alway's have the osf address on it ,a potential new member will then see it as an offical site,if it just say's osf ,people don't have a clue what in means unless their in the know. As far as the site itself goes i don't see whats wrong with it, apart from the shop needs sorting, bit of a minefield to find stuff and order it.Been trying to get a couple of stickers but given up now ,lol Hope all above is of some help,if not just talk over me. !!
  14. one word for that yellow mk1, stunning !!
