Hi there everyone! After buying myself a mk1 fiesta iv decided to but another planning on salvaging some parts off of one that's a little rougher. After iv taken off what i need i need to get rid of the rest of the car asap. So if anyone wants to come pick up a mk1 fiesta for 50 to 100 quid? If no one wants it then I'm going to have to scrap it whichwould be a real shame, but I just don't have the space to keep it laying about. The prts i am taking off are: bumpers, doors, wings, front brakes, cooling fan, lights, maybe the dash and boot lid. Everything else will remain on the car. It is apparently a good runner, its a 1 litre with new carb and starter motor. I plan on picking it up either this weekend or next and will need to be gone the following Tuesday. Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and this is my first old skool ford.... overheating in matalan carpark. the fella didnt fancy putting water in the rad before selling it to me lol Only just fits in my garage, they're bigger than I thought! and I was going to buy a Capri. She's abit tatty round the edges but with 12 months MOT and a months tax I can't really complain. The fella had the nearside rear sill welded up for the MOT but it looks like they've welded abit of angle plate in it and the offside front sill has almost had it so I think a complete re-work of the sills is on the cards when get paid. Also picked up some 13 inch alloys, similar to alley cats but say "cobra" on them.... never seen them before but I like em so I'm half way through refurbing them and I'll get some pics up asap. Plans for it.. - chrome bumpers if i can get hold of some - -50mm springs unless i can get some used coilies for a nice price - sort the wheels out - get the sills redone - try and get a new drivers door as mines f*cked - could do with a new left wing aswell, dont know whats happened to it but it looks like someones attepted to flare it above the arch and failed. I'll be looking at dropping abit more power in it aswell if anyone has any ideas? I dont really want to cut the engine bay up so what can i put in that is fairly easy? I was thinking 1.6 cvh? crossflow? mk3 rs turbo? dont really want to zetec it but I wouldn't mind finding out abit more about ZVH conversions. Orrrrrr! bike powered? keeping it FWD. easy to do? enough torque? Someone please help me here! haha sorry for boring you, iv just babbled on....

Hi there, just bought myself a mk1 fiesta and thought I'd sign up and share my experience and get ideas for it! My friends have always had old VWs and I had a mk2 polo myself but I've always really wanted an old ford... so yeah after a couple of months of saving, researching and viewing loads of rotten Fords I finally found one in good nick for a reasonable price and drove it 150 miles home without a single problem. Very happy I'll get some pics up soon... Cheers!
