I have found 3 people selling V5 's , 2 blatantly , and another saying the shell was 'very, very bad ' ,and coud be put in a urn . Thats 3 in just half a day ! Can others please keep a eye out and report them to eaby moderators ? Its another small way we can make it more difficult for the light fingered lot .

Same bloke is also selling a Porsche boxster and a rolex - Not the slightest bit dodgy then .

Some muppet is selling a Rs2000 v5 on ebay for £1500 . Does that really do any one elses head in ? Has the person got no morals ? Some poor sod will have his pride and joy pinched and this just fuels such activty . I bet the person will claim complete innocence to it as well . I would like the person if they use this forum to explain themselves.

Hi , a idea that has come up on another forum to do with all the old cars that are dissapearing . The idea is that if you see any sort of cars being towed or being loaded up ... whatever , you take a picture or film it getting the car and registration and keep it on your phone for a while , and check on your forums stolen section . Might not help but its better than doing nothing . What do people think ? I would appreciate it if people could post a similar message on anyother car forums they use .

Thats kind of more what i mean , i didnt mean to sound so bad , genrally get fed up with rubbish being offered for big money . Its the same with anything though , if one person thinks they can get £500 for something , the next greedy so and so will think ' well im going to ask for £575' and it just goes on and on . I mean youve only got to look on fleabay , red 2 door mk1 shell £3500 , another one £6000!!!! It seems theres no middle ground as projects get bought or offered to those in the know already and the only cars that circulate are all tarted up big buck jobs .

i think the scene is getting a bit closed doors , like with classic bikes . Many cars not used much and hoarded away because 'they know what there worth ' Only to appear at sky high prices on fleabay when the first bit of bubbling comes up through the paint . Also parts getting very expensive . The grey haired lot have a strangle hold on cars forcing the prices - and many younger people out . I would love a mk1 escort but only ever see stripped dodgy no id shells , which im not going to know whats missing if i try to put it back together , or over priced complte cars which are going to be full of filler . It doesnt help that younger people might not have a place to work or store a car , many people having allocated parking only etc compared to older home owners .

I suppose it is difficult to do a genuine buy sell restore thing ,as some stuff has to be pre planed and permision sought etc , but i suppose they could train the buyer to use equipment and do some bits themself with good results . I would love to see a 'cook report ' style car investigation .

The best car-ish programmes i have seen imo was Car Sos with the bloke from practical classics magazine and the beetle/campervan crisis thing . I liked them mainly because they were pretty much warts and all , not to much made up stuff in them . Main criticism of that VW programmes was the really cheap production , rubbish filming sound etc , but better than any of that rubbish with that geezer and indian bloke/canadian bloke . Those programmes were rubbish . I would like to see a programme were someone looks for a project looks at cars for sale , buys one and then see how it goes fixing it . On the other hand i would love to see a investigation into stolen classics , perhaps undercover stuff , a sting or 'bait car ' , hidden cameras etc . would be good to make the general public aware of the problem .

Are the cars owned by the same bloke ? How do thieves find out about these cars if they havnt been seen out and about ??

Well , guess the bloke was telling the truth , it was rebuilt but in a crap way .

Its about time someone had the balls to say enoughs enough to break the cycle of scumbag familys that dont work , and then there kids don't bother etc . I appreciate that theres those that need more money/help and those that are genuine unemployed etc and think the government should invest in employing many more people to assess people on a one to one level rather than just ticking boxes etc . More needs to be done to seperate the scumbags from the genuine . Foodstamps/prepaid credit for gas electric and a bit of travel so it cant be spent on fags booze and mcdonalds etc as welll . Most of these people dont see the point or it never cross's there mind to work as long as they have a roof , cheap pizzas , fags and a piss up paid for them so they should have they means to removed if they cant be trusted to spend there money properly. Like i said though , more needs to be done to seperate the needy from the cant be arsed , and this is a step in the right direction.

Think this might stir the place up a bit . Does anyone else get p@@Sed off with all the cars and shells on ebay with no id and no v5 ? I know a lot of people are not bothered , and no doubt some don't have any because its lost or its been used for rallying etc , but come on , it just fuels more theft turning a blind eye to it all doesnt it . I mean theres one on ebay saying its got no id but you can [maybe ] make out the tag still on it . And then you get people selling the v5's as 'shell beyond repair etc ' . And people wonder why so many osf's get nicked , only to turn up after a year or two spent in the back of big vinnies lock up .

No , not yet , my problem is i don't know which month it was in , and just wanted to quickely download a back issue without the hassle of having to call them . There website doesnt list the full content of whats in each months copy ,- only the top five bits or so .

Hi wondering if anyone can look through a old retro ford to find a escort mk1 featured in it . Its Gary Morgans mk1 escort , which was featured sometime in 2012 i think . There is a small picture of it in feb 2013 copy as its been nominated for car of the year 2012 . I want to download a back issue but cant find any info as to which month it was in last year .
