  1. Looks good but I'd prefer a pinto / zetec, thanks anyway.
  2. Cheers for the offer but I'm looking for something that requires no work. Sounds like a beast though
  3. My budget for a good 2 door has increased to £18k Here's some info on my Ghia, its a cracking wee motor. Body is solid, never been welded apart from gearbox tunnel for the 5 speed. Paint work is not too bad but I'll be getting it resprayed before it goes up for sale, just a few picky bits at the arches and some stone chips but it's getting a full respray and and new vinyl roof (this has cracked and split in places and needs replaced.) It's fitted with a pinto bored to 2050cc with GSXR carbs and bogg bros manifold, kent cam, polished and ported head, electronic ignition (165bhp on the rollers) Peter lloyd 2 1/2" system, 4 branch manifold and lots of other nice bits. Here's a few pics. It will be on 6" RS 4 spokes not the 7" ronals in the pictures.
  4. Hi Folks, I've got a £15k budget for a good useable 2 door mk2, ideally a RS2000 but I would consider anything modified, tuned ect. Originality not important. Tuned Pinto or Zetec with type 9 conversion preferred. Must be driveable and MOT'd. Cash waiting for right car. Anywhere in the UK. I have a modified 4 door Ghia (Pinto, bike carbs, quaiffe dif, type9 single leaf springs, gaz adjustable shocks) at the moment that I will be selling after I get a 2 door if anyone's interested. Cheers!
  5. Thanks for the warm welcome guys, I'll be attending a few shows this year but in the Manta as the RS wont be on the road till late in the year (probably next year if I'm honest) I'll get a project thread going shortly.
  6. Hi Folks, I joined this site early last year and never posted once, sorry I was looking for a retro car and wasn't sure what to go for, in the end I bought a Manta. However, I got the oldskool bug and decided that I needed a fordy in my life so in the summer I ended up as the owner of a beige mk2 RS2000 as well The RS needs a bit of tlc and the plan is to get it restored this year. Here's a wee pic of my motors. I'll try and make a bigger contribution to the forum this year than i did last year! Cheers! Martyn
