  1. I did I do work for a very big petrol company and when in there head office I was chatting to one of the low level managers that is what I was told
  2. It does come from the same tanker but the grade of fuel is rubbish for supermarkets they buy the fuel that is used to clean the tanks at the refineries which is full of crap and cleaning agents which will dislodge any crap you have in the tank or pipes, or if they can't buy any of this type of fuel which is signifently cheaper, then they buy fuel from other countries like czech republic which is not the same quality or ron and then they add the additives so on paper it is of uk quality but it's not, if you are really unlucky then then you might get fuel from that is used to clean the tanks from other countries that are not cleaned as often and are really full of crap
  3. Thank you to all who put time in to arrange it And it was nice to see everyone again it been too long

    fires

you need to know if its log burner or a multi fuel burner if its a log burner you should only burn logs on it cos coal burns to hot. the best thing i found to do is open the bottom vent about a quarter so the flames are burning slow but not to slow that way the kindling doesn't burn up before the logs catch and that is where the vent usually stays on mine but it takes about 2 hours for the heat to get properly through the cast sides so just remember it will get hotter ie mine opened up can chuck out 11.5kw of heat but my boiler for the central heating is only 9kw and that does the whole house (electric boiler)
  5. yes i've told elaine and she said i was murderer
  6. trust me i tried every thing to get the car out in one piece cos it was mint and still taxed
  7. 250 including great rear bumper, rear door cards, compensator,xr2 style parcel shelf with no holes
  8. i'm going to take it for a drive tomorrow i'll post pics
  9. i no it's wrong in so many ways but it was in a breakers yard from this scrapage scheme, and they wouldn't/couldn't sell it to me even though it was immaculate and perfect with 66000 miles on the clock, so i bought as much if it as i could the front half, on the plus side i now have the bits i need for the fiesta at last and some spare's to sell, it's just a a shame as it was cleaner than mine
  10. long and mount it just below the bumper on the front panel that way it can't be seen by those face you gatso's and as the coppers see the front of the car all look's well
  11. can't remeber at the mo but i only paid for it twinkle (lee) ordered it i'll find out where it was and let you know
  12. i got a spare at home it should fit an xr2 pop it over next weekend and i'll fit it any probs call lainey

  15. good man you know you made the right choice but what do you need a electric dishwasher for, on my wedding speech i told to whole room "at least now my dishwasher matches my fridge" and i meant it
  16. condenser and point's always keep a spare set in the car because the new ones are not made like they use to be and don't last long
  17. also take off the air filter and look down the carb and twist the throttle linkage and check there is fuel going down the carb and take each spark plug out one at a time and put it back in it's lead but resting on something metal and give the engine a quick turn over to check your getting a spark to each cyclinder
  18. a bit of sand paper or similar fold it over and rub it between the contacts also clean the contacts on the dizzy cap and the roter arm
  19. points dirty or damp in the dizzy at a random guess just remember it needs fuel, compression and spark to run if one isn't there then it won't run
  20. could be thermostat not opening or rad cap and it will also get warmer if the cooling system is not pressurized and might not open the thermostat till it gets hotter (don't no why but one of my cars was doing it) till i changed the rad cap
  21. i've got the same problem with the fiesta i've replaced the disks, calipers, pads, drums, slave cylinders, shoes, flexie hose's, master cylinder and it still won't slow down from 30mph in 300 yards hence the reason the exhaust is bent from when i mounted the curb the only thing i haven't changed is the rear compensator (which i only found it had when i changed the flexie hoses). the hand brake works very well so if nothing else the rears should have locked up. has yours got a rear compensator p.s. has anyone got a rear compensator for a mk1 fiesta
