well thank you for the advice i did have a look at restoration thread and i do like this car a lot plus i race uphill it's perfect but still i would have to put some other engine in it to gain power and i'm afraid that it would be a downside for a car like this ? i mean original engine and other parts are the value of an old timer...And about the price i have seen a lot of cheap ones and a lot of really expensive ones like from 300 euros to 50000

Hi,I own a escort mk1 and i wanted to know is it worth it to restore?It is a 2 door 900 cc in a pretty good condition but i thought to put some more powerful engine in it and maybe make it a racing car... So the question is will i be able to get my money back if i wanted to ? I don't know a lot about this car so any info/critics i will be thankful for Sorry for my bad english if there were any mistakes
