Morning all, I realise this is a bit late as I’ve actually been in the role for at least 6 weeks now, but I thought I’d best pop on and actually introduce myself before the Classic Ford show. My name’s Jamie Arkle and I’m the new boy on Classic Ford, taking up where Simon Holmes left off! I love all old cars and have owned plenty, but Fords have always had a special place in my heart. Most recently I’ve owned a fairly rough 2.0 Capri with twin 40s and some wide Wellers – not exactly groundbreaking stuff I’ll admit, but a fun car to commute in. (Well, it was until the head gasket blew on my way to a job interview, but that’s another story!) I’ll soon be on the hunt for another blue oval badged project car of my own (once I’ve managed to sell my old redtop Astra), probably a Mk4/5 Cortina or possibly another Capri.
