Thought I would introduce myself, I live in Horley Surrey and I own a 105E Anglia and a Mk1 Cortina GT.
Both are highly modified, Anglia is on the road and the Cortina is still in construction.
The Anglia looks old school but runs a 2.0 Zetec, it is a genuine 40k mileage car with original paintwork except for below chrome mouldings, interior is all original and still has the old Anglia smell inside.
It has a Team Deville rear suspension setup with an Alachi front end with 2.8i front struts. Attached to the engine is a type 9 with Retro Ford sump and ancillaries, for induction it has a Chester Sports Car bike carb setup.
The Cortina is a genuine GT but was a 4 door, so I have converted it to 2 door, and because I bought it as a bare shell I've decided to make it into a road race car, i.e. no interior and modified suspension.
Rear suspension is a home built independent with Mazda MX5 Torsen LSD diff and Hubs.
Front suspension is a Retro Ford assembly with Gaz Gold struts.
Engine is a new 2.0lt Zetec with Omex throttle bodies.
Gearbox is from a Mk3 Mazda MX5 with RX8 carbon fibre propshaft.
I decided to build the car in bare metal and then when everything fits ok tear it down and paint it in Spruce Green.
I know there not technically old school but I'm sure the more time that passes they will be..
Many thanks and I look forward to posting on here soon. Dave.
