I've got 7 x 13 Minilites with 185/60 x 13 tyres on my Mk 2 4-door, only lowered by 1 inch though, but I've had no problems. Was going to get the rear arch lips adjusted to give more clearance when i got it resprayed but there was more than enough clearance so didn't bother.
