It was declared offroad SORN when it was first taken off the road. The insurance company wrote it off and it bought back for pennies and it was SORN after the write off

i have a mk1 fiest that I have stored offroad for 8 years, the reason it was taken off road was because of a small crash which was also a cat D write off (very minor damage), the paperwork was sent off to the insurance company which they then lost. my granddad bought this fez new in 1983 and it was my first car after passing my test 17 years ago after 7 years I want to get her on the road again as my commute is going from 98 miles a day to 9, im worried about doing so as I don't want to be done for all the backdated tax - I haven't actually been sent a reminder at all after declaring it offroad the first time after the crash the question is will I get done for the tax or not if I apply for the replacement v5 and get the old girl back on the road???? I don't want it to be another forgotten car cheers in advance kev

for whoever has seen this - I am going to change the date of the event to Saturday 23rd of august as the college has a conflicting event which sadly takes priority

LAST TIME THIS WILL BE EDITED - SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION, IVE HAD ISSUES WITH SECURING THE FIELD just a quick advert for this years show, we had a fantastic turnout last year and especially from ford owner most of which travelled the 50 miles from south London including H.P.E, and a big turnout from the sessex RS owners club. this year theres 2 things I promise. 1. the bumps will not be an issue and 2. the food wont take as long as last year!! after bringing up my total post enough i'm allowed to sell it on here (hopefully), this is a Very reluctant sale as I have waited a long time to find an Anglia this solid but unfortunately I have lost my storage space and all the toys need a new home. so the shell is in a stripped state and all the parts are in the car (apart from engine), 4 speed box and prop are still present and all the door cards bumpers and interior fittings are in the car. the plan was to 4age conversion the car but no space and lack of reasonably priced facilities mean ive gotta sell it. its a maltese import hence the good shape it comes with - a roll over jig that I will let go with the sale as I will no longer need it, for the buyer I will also let go a rear half of another Anglia with has 2 intact rear quarters in great shape and the inner wheel arches, back panel, boot pan, cross members and rear floor sections. its located not far from Heathrow and its currently a rolling shell, its appearance doesn't do it justice as the previous owner has stripped the paint but in a way this is a good thing as it show the shell warts and all so nothing can be hidden, viewings welcome on weekends just gimme a shout - PM me for any more details you need. im trying to avoid ebay as the pain in the neck ive previously had and I know this forum has proper ford enthusiasts on it. sorry forgot to add price - im after £1650 all in with every 105e spare I have
