  1. After 6 or so years of brilliant fun it is time for a change so my twin cam is up for sale. Major resto' about 9 years ago, back to it's original red colour. Engine rebuilt by Nick Stagg. Includes fair amount of history and photos. In recent years it has spent time with Mitchville Autobodies, Maidstone Sports Cars and recently Ashford Motorsport. New for this year custom built front to back exhaust, overhauled carbs, new fuel pump and rear seat belts. Plus 4 new tyres and rear wheel brake cylinders. Good condition, not concours. My kids love coming out in it so the are some paint defects (not major). This car has to be driven loud and fast to be appreciated. Has been on Classic Ford Tours to France and Belgium. Turns heads and attracts attention every time you take it out. MOT April 2014. £23,000.00 ono. Can be viewed M20 Junction 8 services in Kent. 07778 856287
  2. Sounds like the sort of trip i would also be interested in.
  3. No they are not all white with a green stripe. Mine is red. Photo taken at start of Classic Ford Tour to Compeigne 2011.
  4. Understood, best i get posting.
  5. Is there a minimum amount of time, or number of posts, before you can list a car for sale in the for sale section?
  6. Excellent sounds good to me.
  7. I have registered before as H Cortina but as i don't post very often had trouble posting today, easier to rejoin today. My Mk2 Cortina Lotus is up for sale (when i can work out how to place advert). 1970 Red, more details elsewhere. Best i don't put advert here as admin wil remove it. Anyway i'm after a complete change of car but will still be a Ford.
  8. Ok, you lot shy in coming forward? I'll start. Mk2 Cortina Lotus YMK 356H
  9. I was a first timer in 2011 and had a brilliant weekend. There were 3 MkII Cortina’s, 1 MkI Cortina, 1 Mustang, 4 Corsairs, 5 Capris, 1 Cosworth Sierra, 1 Granada and a significant array of Escort’s.
  10. Brilliant fun in 2011. I'm already booked for 2012, anyone else going?
  11. This idea is at the planning stage but i need some idea on the level of interest. The Classic Touring Car Racing Club is holding a two day race event at Lydden Hill Circuit (near Canterbury, Kent) 17th and 18th July, see their website for details (classictouringcars). Spend some time looking at their website, it is very good. I have discussed with them the idea of having a static display of classic cars, all models not just Ford's. There is the possibility of selective cars taking part in a parade lap each day during the lunchtime breaks. The allocated area may be divided into club areas or just one big display area, that's yet to be decided. At the moment i am trying to gauge the level of interest, so please list on here whether you would wish to go Saturday, Sunday or both days, and what car you would have. There may be reduced entrance fee, but again details will be sorted later. I will give clubs the opportunity of organising their own members once i have some idea on numbers.
