  1. And 1976 for the Fiesta ( the car that is) but 66 for the mag
  2. Thats wrong. Ford first introduced the Escort in 1955. You may know it as a 100E estate. Also a Squire was launched which had fake wood trim down the side.
  3. Funny you mention that. When i first put it at that height the ladder bars bottomed out and i coulnt get it off I ground the bottoms off and welded a skid plate on. it stayed like that for quite a few years. Its been broken for parts. Some friends gave me a good price for it and they all wanted different bits. Sad really.
  4. I would also give it a sharp tap with a hammer to the side of the valve. These valves always stick
  5. No, thats the other one. Mine was first. One easy to see diference is the back door. My van was originally a Escort estate with a factory horizontal split back door. The original top hinges are there and the top and window is curved. The other van has straight edges and has a side opening door. I posted this awhile ago on Retro Rides and a previous owner of the other van replied.
  6. Sorry to bring up an old thread. This was my old 300E van Was this the one you had or was yours the later one with a Rover V8 ?
  7. The Escort van was mine. Here are a few more pics
  8. Did it make it round the corner ?
  9. I have done this on all my cars that have a electric pump. Car Starts straight away, then dies in the middle of the road, so the thief legs it. You can also get manual fuel taps that do the same job.
  10. I knew a guy years ago that had a high spec padlock and hasp on his van door , which also had a chain attached which he put round the lampost !
