  4. As I mentioned in my intro, I'm having some work done to my coup at present to change the wheels over to a set of Halibrands. It's turning in to a much bigger job than expected but should make a big difference. One little problem I wanted to sort was that the grease caps on the front hubs would be visible and the existing ones were a bit ratty. I was thinking of trying to get a pair in better condition and have them chromed so did a search on ebay and found these, result! Very nicely made and resonable price. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320622242986?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

  7. The Fiesta was built by Custom Car Magazine many, many years ago! (I'm guessing it was something like 35 years ago!) The design of the car and paint scheme was a competion they ran, with the winning design getting built. I even entered the competion! My design was based on the american "lowrider" look, now that would have been weird!

  9. Thanks for all the responses guys, I think I will save up the pennies and go for the aftermarket option! As far as I can see the Wilwood and hi-spec packages appear to be the most common kits available, or are there any other options? Cheers, Dave
  10. Thanks that Sounds interesting, and worth having a look at. All the big brake kits I've seen have been listed as fitting cortina, escort and capri's so looks like there is some interchangability there, Cheers, Dave
  11. Thanks for the reply, do they need adaptor brackets to fit on? What disc did you use, standard or vented? Cheers, Dave
  12. Thanks, yes I've looked at the Wilwood kit and it looks good but a bit pricey but may end up going this route. I just wanted to explore cheaper solutions. Cheers, Dave
  13. I heard that princess 4 pot calipers can be adapted to MKIII Cortina's, what is involved and are there any other options? Cheers Dave
  14. P.S. The old wheels are up for sale, they are 7" x 15", 4 stud Ford (108mm) spacing, 5" back spacing, rims just polished and in good condition will post up an ad when I hit the required posts. Also have some performance brake stuff for sale too, need to raise funds for the work being done to fit the new wheels as the back axle has needed narrowing which I hadn't budgted for! Cheers, Dave
  15. It's on Good Friday every year, and the new venue looks good. Worth arriving early to be on the safe side but always a fantastic and very diverse show field
  16. Wheels day is one of my favourite shows of the year with plenty of old skool fords in attendance. Anyone go from here? I'm hoping to get my coup back up and running by then so if you do go drop by and say hello! Here's a few pix from last year to get you in the mood, Cheers, Dave
