Many thanks, after talking to the old man again he thought it was a mexico but it does not say so on the log book, is there anyway of finding out through the vin number or reg number? -
Found a log book of one of the old mans escorts from many years ago in an unopened envelope when i opened it i could not think which one it was , it does not say the number of doors and i dont reconise the vin number as it starts with BBH2H. I remember a while back there was a site you could put the reg into and it told you about the car or maybe i was dreaming again, anyone help!!!

Hi , Is there any chance of any back issue's with this article in, also you must have taken more photo's than were published, is there any chance of copies of these ? Im surprised you have not done more articles on Road Rally cars there are some monsters out there and would love to see under the skin of some of them Like Dennis Quinns Escort, Roger Hicks, and some of the other Top Road rally cars that are out there tearing up our lanes in England and Wales. just checking it out today for mounting the rollcage and found a little rot which is now sorted thanks to some one handed welding (dont tell the boss ) just got to get the rest of it in now and weld in some plates for the cage and weld on the tramp bars. My club has a little 12 car nav rally this monday i might tempt fate and take it out for a drift around the lanes.

I last saw the car on ebay last year, contacted the guy who was selling the car to ask if it had been reshelled as last time i had seen the car it was 5 linked , turreted , alloy tank caged et, etc , etc , it used to belong to my mate who ran it in the cotswold championship and since selling the car back in 1999ish we have not seen it about. It would be nice to get the car back if possible to its original spec as it has alot of history behind that number plate.

No just took alot of flack from the Welsh crowd. would suggest anyone who likes there escorts and Road Rallying to get over to any Welsh Road Rally and experience the buz and the cars. Contact the club putting on the event and find out what os maps they are using and get the spectater info and have a good night watching the cars, but remember to follow all the advice the club puts down in black and white to help in the public relations area as they have had trouble in the past, which does not help our sport. -
