  1. Cheers guys Used fingernail/lego brick as a scraper, then T-cut on the stubborn bits. Annoyingly the red decals seem to have bleached the paint slightly...spent 2 hours with Farecla compound but you can still see them very faintly in some lights Still here is the finished article...not much really not bad for a beginner tho
  2. I've got a Sunstar British Airways MK2 rally car and want to remove the rally graphics, they look like water slide transfers...is there an easy way to get them off without damaging the paint as I don't want to respray it? Also is there a way to remove the wheels without snapping the buggers off?? Cheers guys
  3. Exhaust has 1/4" clearance at the mo when at the top of me drive If I drop it 2" the car will make a great ornament for my driveway cos it wouldn't make it to the road
  4. Yeah tell me about it, sadly my drive has approach and departure angles a Land Rover would fear. Had the back end on 2" blocks and the exhaust manifold threatened to part company everytime I went over the top! Plus with the speedbumps round here its not worth the hassle....slammed doesn't look cool when your stopping to pick bits of the car up after ever speedbump ....I speak from experience
  5. Might look at a group 1 ally spoiler, mexico spoilers are nice i've had them on all my escorts, but fancy something different. Has anyone got any pics with one on??
  6. The spoiler is now on e-bay... my bottle went!! Here it is with 4 spots
  7. Been photoshopping/buying stuff...should the spoiler stay or go?? Does it look better with or without spots? All opinions please
  8. I'm up in yeadon, was over that way a lot helping me mate in Farsley fix his collection of knackered Fiats Are you in the SEOC?
  9. Wherebouts in Leeds are you Daz?
  10. Yup that was mine! A lad I know bought it off the kid I sold it to, shame you missed out cos it's apparently off to Ireland to be broken up Bloody thing had a binder full of bills including £1300 worth of welding work
  11. Cheers mate, I used to have a white ghia like yours with the black vinyl roof, I was tempted to do mine then. Do it, gives em a mini muscle car look IMO
  12. They are indeed, 175/50's looked a bit too low pro IMO, plus they wouldn't last 5 minutes with the potholes round here.
  13. Decided to give the old girl a wash and admire her new wheels, what do you think? I had an issue with the position of the balance weights when I put them on, they fouled the Princess 4pots, Anyway, had em rebalanced with the weights further into the rim and it was sorted Didn't panic in the slightest..... Before After
  14. Beige is the new black!
  15. Hi all, I've been a member for some time but have never got round to introducing myself, so here goes. I have a 33000 mile 4-door Popular Plus 2.0 in luvvverly Sierra Beige, sadly non of it (except the wheels) is my own work, time and family commitments meant I had to get something that needs polishing and driving, rather than hammering and welding! I have had a couple of MK2's since 2003ish, pics can be seen in my garage. Cheers all.
