  1. well i am from just out side London, Epsom, Surrey and i work in Croydon j
  2. yea long story really, it was well rusty, and like most young guns i used to race it every where, which lead to the engine letting go, i think i sold it for £300 in the end to a mate only if i help him fix it up, so i pulled the engine and done some welding on it, the last time i saw it, it did look very sorry for its self in bits. i would like another mex or rs, maybe a mk2 custom when moneys allow, i am an engineer by trade, but have been working as a project manager for a metal company for the last 7 years, so i can knock up panels and plates up with ease. j
  3. hi all, just saying hi as i am new on here, i have had a lot of fords in my time, and as i am nearly 50 most of them where from the 70s and 80s many escorts, and the odd cortina, i am a bike man at heart currently riding very day on my gsxr 1000 k3. my renewed enthusiasm for old fords started really last year, when i happen to be on the Gov web site vehicle checker, in which i happen to put in the reg of love hate relationship i had with a Mk1 mexico one "XTW 905L" much to my surprise, with my jaw dropping open it says its still taxed and MOT ed, so the hunt was on, it took me about 2 months of checking loads of forums and web sites i finely tracked down my old mexico which i had at the grand age of 19 some 30 years ago, the car now resides on the south cost, and i am in phone contact with the owner, hopefully to see in the flesh at some point in the near future, so here are a couple of pics of then and now. i do like looking through all the restoration projects going on with interest so when funds allow i will get a project of my own. or if i win the lottery i will try and get back my mexico jinxy j
